a short, rickety wooden pier stretches out to the end of the sandy embankment beneath the water. off the end, a sharp drop in the seabed renders the water around here dangerous if a bird isn't used to water. nearby, a strange box made of wood stands alone. the roof and floor have long rotted away, leaving four walls and an exit onto the beach. the inside is sandy and the walls are a good defence from wind, rain and prying eyes.
