::ALTUS HILL:: warm air currents sweeping up the hillsides make flying up to the top of this soft, grassy hill easy and fun. at the top, a strange circle of stones aligned into doorway shapes surround a central flat-topped boulder. this is a favourite place for discussing myths and legends; the mystery of the stones lends a magical feel to storytelling. |

::SILEX CLIFFS:: a high clifftop ends with a vertical drop straight into the ocean. this rocky outcrop would be considered a good nesting place for seabirds, and saltwater fish are plentiful around the base of the cliff - provided, of course, that you can manoevre through the misty air currents of the sea waves without dashing against a rock. |

::LAETITIA BEACH:: sandy and warm. sharp-eyed birds may find shiny pebbles and rounded sea-glass washed ashore from around the world; sharp-witted birds may cleverly break open the shells of the crustaceans scattered around here to enjoy a different kind of seafood meal. |

::ABANDONED PIER:: a short, rickety wooden pier stretches out to the end of the sandy embankment beneath the water. off the end, a sharp drop in the seabed renders the water around here dangerous if a bird isn't used to water. nearby, a strange box made of wood stands alone. the roof and floor have long rotted away, leaving four walls and an exit onto the beach. the inside is sandy and the walls are a good defence from wind, rain and prying eyes. |
