NOTE: We'd like you to have a username in all capital letters. When you first sign up, Proboards automatically changes your username to lowercase, but don't worry - just go into your profile and change your Display Name to the all-caps version. Simple! :)
- All members reserve the right to 'fade to black' when confronted with scenes of mature content.
- Swearing is allowed. Deaths can (and will) happen.
- Try to keep OOC topics in the related boards.
- No spamming, flooding or flaming.
- No textspeak/chatspeak in the IC boards.
- Powerplaying/godmodding/twinking will not be tolerated.
- Try to use correct grammar and spelling if you are able. Make good use of a spellchecker if you're underconfident.
- Try to stay in one point of view and tense for a thread. For example, if you start with 'I do this' then don't suddenly switch to 'He/she did that'.
- 4-line posts at minimum. One paragraph should be possible for everyone. This is not 'for no reason' as I've heard some people complain before. This rule is purely for the sake of the other people you're roleplaying with. Without anything to react to, their post will get shorter, and they'll have less for YOUR character to react to, and you'll end up with one-line posts of speech. These are incredibly pointless.
- A suggestion: if you spot an error you made in a previous post, feel free to edit it. However, do not make major changes to the post after someone has posted after you. It could make their post invalid, and it isn't fair.
- There is a % warning system. Moderators will make good use of it if you misbehave.
- Screen-stretching signatures are extremely annoying. If your signature stretches the screen, either stop using that signature or edit it into a text box.
- Do not double-post - unless you are soloing (this means you're in a thread by yourself and are roleplaying some kind of helpful character/history development).
- One character per account. Accounts should be the name of the character being RPed on the account, in all capital letters.
- All of our members are real people in real life, sitting at a computer, typing, being alive, having thoughts and feelings. Doing things to deliberately distress another user, such as throwing a hissy fit in a bid for attention and "LEAVIGN TEH SITE 4EVER!!!11" is fairly stupid, and it gets old when you've been through this sort of thing over and over in the past. You are not the only one to have ever complained about "unfair modz!!1" or "teh ttly ghey sistem!!1". I've worked hard on this site. Mods/admins will deal with flamers and idiots fairly.
