- No imaginary or mythical birds (such as gryphons, rocs, phoenixes etc).
- Hybrids are fine, but within reason. A flamingo and a wren aren't compatible. Use your brain. If you're not sure, ask a staff member.
- Irregular feather markings and colours are fine. After all, if peacocks and pink flamingos and parrots can be rainbow wonders, why not everyone?
- On the other hand, no clothes or jewellery. Ring-tags around feet and clipped wings or paint daubs are fine (remember that clipped feathers will eventually grow back, and paint daubs will probably wash off or be shed with excess feathers). Again, if you're unsure, ask a staff member.
- If you've seen, read or played any media with bird characters and you'd like to play as a canon character from that franchise, explain the character briefly to a staff member (preferably Sentinel) and await a reply.
- If you want to play as a character that IS NOT A BIRD (e.g. a squirrel, a rabbit, a dog or cat or lizard or something else entirely), explain the character briefly to a staff member and await a reply.
- NO HUMANS. Sorry, but they wouldn't be able to communicate with the other characters, they're too slow, they're too big, they're too advanced and they're also too mundane when you've got the opportunity to be a pink flamingo. No exceptions. Also, there are no humans in Penna Wilds.
