SPECIES::
White-Necked Raven
PERSONALITY::
Odin is indeed sly, as Ravens come, and quick to the draw. It is an innate wisdom that he carries as a well-studied warrior amongst his species though that also helps carry him along in life, benefiting him on every turn he can chance it. It is in his blood to be clever, and even a little bit manipulative, living now for the finer things in life, and coming off with a well-imprinted jokesters streak that makes him very easy to get along with for the most part - if you do not have something he wants that is. But do not take Odin for a joker, a jester of the court, for he carries himself in a manner that is very dignified, knowing full-well the honors he should be bestowed as a decorated war hero from both the battles of Pirate Hill and Windy Canyon. By nature he is drawn to flocks, whatever they may be, and though not the most trustworthy of birds, if one can ally themselves with this complicated fellow they have a friend worth fighting for.
:: PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION ::
Odin is of regal stature, often standing with his noble head held high for he feels himself - at times - a figure of dignity and distinction. His body is large and sleek, though only slightly smaller then his closest cousin, the Common Raven. Odin is known for his broad, black and white-tipped beak, smoothed head-feathers and the sacrine yet hardy swagger he carries. A ruffle of messier feathers beneath his chin, almost beardlike. His feathers are predominantly black, with those around the breast having a slight more brownish tinge with a slight purple gloss across the entirety of his impressive body. On the lower part of the back of his neck is a white slash of color that curls around and almost meets at the front of his throat. When Odin opens his wings a few feathers, though none vital are missing, creating notches in his wings on his flying silhouette if you were to observe him circling lazily from the ground.
Quite notably, Odin is missing his left eye, thus being completely blind on that side. It is not an overly unpleasant looking deformity, simply a holly in the face that has long healed. A rake of three scars run down the feathers here where - in battle - the fellow lost his orb to a clever small falcon. His other eye is sharp, beady and steady, as if holding some sort of infinite knowledge and at the same time laced with a slyness, something that is hard to trust at times. This orb has a slight reddish tinge to it's otherwise dark, glossy depths. His talons are large and nothing to mess with, great for ripping the flesh of fallen beasts. Odin is missing the third claw on his left foot, another battle injury.

FRIENDSHIP::
He is naturally intrigued about other birds and wishes to learn about them, but sometimes can fall into the studious warrior mode and not want much to do with anyone. It is really all depending on the mood for him, but when one does befriend him, he is swarthy and loyal.
LOVE::
Since he spent his early life as a warrior, Odin never took on the idea of having a mate very seriously. He had a few flings here and then to satisfy obvious needs, but otherwise never anything overtly serious. Since he has laid down to rest most of his war-like past he sees now the idea of a mate as being long past him, something that just won't happen. His love life is something he makes no real effort towards because in his own head he has lost all the chances and being alone could just be his slot in life.

CALL::
Click For Sexy Raven Singing
The Raven's voice by the standards of most other birds is loud, harsh and annoying. For his own breed his voice is low, smoky and dignified, and would indeed be well-enjoyed amongst raven-kind.
