NAME:: Strike
GENDER:: Female
AGE:: Four years.
SPECIES:: Red-tailed Hawk
PERSONALITY::If there is anything to be said about Strike, its that she keeps to herself. They can all go to hell for all she knows and cares. She's one of those people who can be friendly, but choose not to; most of the time, she just wants to get whatever business she has done and then just relax. And oh, she's a sucker for relaxation- she tends to be a bit lazy sometimes, but she still knows when its time to do something very important anyways.
And for other birds, well, its not that she wants them dead or tossed into a fire pit or anything, its just that she doesn't care what they do as long as it doesn't concern her. She doesn't mind gossip (as long as its nothing to do with her) but she won't spread it, either. But if she were forced to choose sides, she would choose the one most likely to win- she can often judge their worth by just observing them for a few moments- she is quite intelligent this way. The reason she chooses the one most likely to win is by her simple reasoning- if they are winning, the don't need her help, and if they don't need her help, she can go back to doing whatever she was before.
But, if you get to know her, honestly know her, you'll find she's quite friendly and an interesting person to have a conversation with. Unfortunately, she's one of those extremely strong birds that think that just because they don't need help, then nobody else needs it either- in this way, she can be sort of uncaring, but its just because she just doesn't notice or anything (she can be a bit naiive sometimes towards others feelings). She also tends to get a bit irritable when she is disturbed- this makes it rather hard to become friends with her, but makes her extra-efficient as well. And when she does get disturbed, well, she can curse. Loudly, and with no limits.
All in all, she's one of the loners there away from the main group of chattering birds, who busily peck away at her food and when startled, look up blankly before narrowing her eyes and going back to what she was doing.:: PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION ::Height: 21.5 inches
Weight: 3 pounds
Strike is really just an average red-tail- no really distinguishing markings from the rest of her kind. With beautiful brown mahogany feathers dappled with grey and white, they are quite stunning, actually. Her head looks quite a bit like her body, except with a bit more white. Her legs are the same dappled whiteish of the body and head, a snow-white color. Her talons are a bit sharper than most, and certainly only half an inch longer, but still look stunning overall.
Her reddish brown tail is often the part many look at the most- but that's really just because of her species. She spends long hours grooming it especially, it being her best feature, and it ends up long and sleek and shiny. Her eyes are the kind that one would describe as 'beady', darting to and fro with speeds that would track your every move. Her beak, like other red-tails, is curved downward rather sharply, used for tearing into voles and mice, her favorite treats. Overall, she is a stunning specimen, but nothing too different than other red-tails, really.:: HEART&SOUL ::
FRIENDSHIP::As long as you don't pry or disturb her while she's doing her work, she's a decent bird, quite interesting to hold a conversation with.
LOVE::She's not exactly looking or searching for one, but she's not the type either to shun them. She just doesn't care.
LIKES::
-Interesting conversations
-Voles, mice
-small, rather immature pranks
DISLIKES::-smaller, annoying birds
-loud, chirpy-ish sounds
-distractions
FEARS::-death, pain, etc.
-Really big raccoons
-water
CALL::She makes a hoarse, screaming kee-eeeee-arr. It lasts 2-3 seconds and is usually given while soaring. Her voice is rather scratchy and sometimes hoarse, given she dislikes approaching other birds to talk first.
other; Sorry for crappiness Dx
